Customer Service / BDC Representative

**Hourly rate + commission**

Garvey Volkswagen Kia is looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service / BDC representative to join our growing dealership's sales team. You will be responsible for coordinating all incoming communications made via telephone or online, searching for potential sales leads, booking appointments for the showroom, and acting as a first point of contact for customers during their vehicle search process.

To be successful as a BDC representative, you should have a knack for marketing and sales. Top candidates will be professional and personable individuals, with a passion for great customer service.

Our BDC Representative Responsibilities (include by not limited to):

  • Answering incoming phone calls and online enquiries.
  • Logging customer details and comments in our system.
  • Scheduling appointments and following up with any "no show" customers.
  • Maintaining thorough, up-to-date knowledge of our products.
  • Greeting and assisting walk-in customers, and treating all clientele with courtesy and respect.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining contact with customers to ensure they are happy with our service.
  • Ensuring potential customers are aware of any promotions.
  • Assisting with various other tasks at the dealership.

BDC Representative Requirements:

  • Degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and the internet (tech savvy).
  • Professional and personable demeanor.

Automotive Technician

**$1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS**

The Garvey Automotive Group is looking for a full-time employee to hire as our next Entry Level Automotive Technician . The candidate we are seeking is qualified, trained, and equipped.

**MUST BE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19**

**MUST HAVE NYS INSPECTORS LICENSE**

At Garvey Volkswagen Kia our auto mechanics are responsible for the repair of all new and pre-owned vehicles sold by the Garvey Automotive Group as well as off make vehicles brought in by our customers for repair. They maintain factory certification and their own supply of key tools. We help provide training and ASE certifications for those mechanics that with to improve their skills. As part of every repair our auto tech performs a walk around of all vehicles brought through our shop to make sure our customer's needs are attended to. At Garvey we strive for a 100% fixed-right-the-first-time ratio and high levels of technician proficiency. Our mechanics also need to be customer service oriented and able to communicate with our clients to answer any questions they have about their vehicles.

This position is Tuesday - Saturday.

A Well Qualified Candidate Will:

  • Have a NYSI license
  • Have experience as an automotive technician
  • Have entry level technical certifications

An extremely well qualified candidate will:

  • Hold any level ASE certification
  • Be manufacturer certified by Volkswagen, Hyundai, Kia or Nissan
